TRANSCRIPT of VIDEO #1
Hello, welcome to the SLO Tutorial site. I'm a member of the SLO Committee and over the course of the last year, we've been trying to find out ways that we could help faculty in the SLO assessment process. We've developed new forms based upon recommendations by faculty, and to help people fill the form out, we've developed this website.
As you can see, the tabs on the left side of the website correspond with the information that is being asked on the form. Once you get the form, you can pull the tutorials up while you do your assessment, and hopefully the videos will guide you and instruct you and serve as a personal coach for you to be able to fill out the forms. I believe, personally, that this will make the SLO assessment process better, more engaging, easier, and more efficient for everybody!

TRANSCRIPT of VIDEO # 2
Learning. Young and old, rich and poor, it is truly THE transformative that makes us all human. When we look at how quickly modern life is progressing, especially as we continue to move through the “information age,” a continual refinement of lessons, ideas and knowledge itself must be maintained. At WEST, we, too are focused on creating a climate for student success.
As a faculty or staff member working on a college campus, you are the main conduit for the facilitation of this knowledge. The more relevant the instruction and the more effective the delivery method is, the more we ALL benefit as a society.
THE SLO committee has gone through great lengths to engineer a strategy for evaluating course level-SLOs that can ultimately be engrained within the pedagogy itself, with minimal interference into your individual delivery strategy. I encourage you to participate fully in this process. The videos embedded in this web site are here to make the process that much easier, with detailed explanations of every section of the Course evaluation as well as a plethora of links and other helpful content.
